Overview
Massage can be performed on all of the body or only part of it depending on various factors that include the time available and the objectives of the treatment.
Full Body Massage
This can be performed using a base oil with or without the addition of aromatic oils. The benefits of massage are enhanced by the addition of the aromatic essential oils that are carefully selected for particular conditions. Whole Life Holistics attempts to use the most pure essential oils and takes care in sourcing them from reputable suppliers to ensure that the client is able to gain most benefit from the experience.
Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils for therapeutic purposes such as healing, cleansing, preserving, revitalising, and mood-enhancing. Aromatherapy, based on ancient medical systems and the value of natural plant oils, has been recognised for more than 6000 years.
Although essential oils have been used for many a year the term 'aromatherapie' was only first used by a French chemist in 1928, Rene-Maurice Gattefosse, and Marguerite Maury, during the 1960's, pioneered the use of essential oils in massage.
A full-body massage would normally take about 1 hour and can be adapted to suit any particular requirements or conditions of the client.

Seated Massage
This type of massage was developed in the USA for employees in Silicon Valley, California. The massage was designed to be performed through the client's clothes whilst they were in a seated position. The main massage covers the back, neck and shoulders of the client although the head, arms and hands may be included. Twenty minutes of an enjoyable and stress relieving massage therapy was found to promote health and reduce stress levels.
It is not designed as a corrective treatment but regular users often experience a lessening of any obvious symptoms. Having a regular seated massage will help keep the body in peak condition.
For private clients the massage takes about an hour and circumstances or personal preferences may enable the client to experience the massage disrobed and with oils. For corporate clients, since time is of the essence, a reduced massage procedure of 20 minutes is available. This can be an enjoyable way of spending lunchtime, as therapy after an intense, hard day in the workplace, or simply whenever time allows. Offering such a service to employees is beneficial not only to the recipient but to the employer and is most easily demonstrated by the increased productivity of a healthy and happy employee.

Facial Rejuvenation Massage
Ayurveda means 'the science of life' and is a holistic therapy concerned with physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Its objective is to prevent illness and promote good health. Within Ayurveda, massage is considered essential to health and beauty.
The Face Lift Massage is a non-surgical treatment that slows down the ageing process, irons out wrinkles and makes your skin feel fresh and vibrant. It is a non-invasive approach to looking younger.
There will be noticeable effects after only one treatment but the greatest benefits are achieved with regular weekly treatments. The most noticeable benefit is the sense of total relaxation. Headaches and other tension-related symptoms often disappear and you may experience a tremendous sense of well-being, confidence and inner harmony.
The recipient does not undress and oils need not be used. However, a small amount of aromatherapy oil aids the movement of the therapist's hands over the face and offers additional benefits to the recipient. The treatment takes about 1 hour.

Needless to say Indian Head Massage originates from India. The traditional art of the massage is based on the ancient system of medicine known as Ayurveda which has been practised in India for thousands of years. The word Ayurveda means 'science of life'. It is preventative in nature and aims to promote positive health, beauty and long life.
Originally the massage therapy was designed for use on the head alone but in the Western world we include other parts of the body vulnerable to stress such as the shoulders, upper arms and neck.
One of the key benefits of this therapy is the improved hair growth and condition but by incorporating other parts of the body the therapy can be effectively used as part of a stress management treatment.
Since there is no need to undress the benefits can be accessed almost anywhere, at any time and it is of obvious interest to those who would be uncomfortable about undressing. The treatment takes about 1 hour.

Hands and Feet Massage
The Thai Hands and Feet Massage is an integral part of a full Thai massage. Thai massage is one of the ancient healing arts of Thai medicine. It has been practised for thousands of years and is based on the intrinsic energy flow and balance theory of health and healing. Its therapeutic foundation lies in the Indian healing tradition of Ayurveda.
It is amazing how much tension is stored in our hands and feet. The Hands and Feet Massage alleviates stiffness, improves flexibility, reduces the possibility of developing arthritis and rheumatic conditions and improves sleep. The massage is a highly accessible and effective means of inducing relaxation and relief from the symptoms of stress and anxiety.
The recipient needs only to ensure the feet are exposed and no oils need be used unless requested. The treatment takes about 30 minutes.
